Background: Haines Fleet Management Company is a long established business which was formerly part of the Fleet Services Company affiliated to the Joe Duffy Motor Group. The company was founded in 1973 and registered in Ireland, Company Registration No. 040048. It was acquired in 2004 by Eugene Haines who was the Managing Director of the Fleet Services Company at that time. Haines Fleet Management is a medium sized company with an ethos of personal and prompt service delivered in a highly professional and dedicated manner.
In 2007, the business moved to new premises in Airside Enterprise Centre, Swords, Co Dublin, to facilitate the expansion and forward planning of the business. This new location has the added advantage of being strategically positioned for both clients and suppliers. Austerity measures adopted in the early stages of settling into our new premises benefited us greatly with the more volatile times since. Having recently celebrated our 7th year post management buyout (MBO) we are delighted and proud to continue to hold a large and solid base of valued clients, some of which have been with us for up to fifteen years. Chris Lavender, - Chairman, has over 25 years experience in the UK vehicle leasing and daily rental industry, including spells at Herondrive, Norfolk Finance and over 18 years as Operations Director of the well respected and privately owned Marshall of Cambridge Group. Chris is Director General Manager of Intermark Auto Leasing in the Russian Federation having joined Intermark in 2010. Eugene Haines, - Managing Director has long been associated with the motor trade, having worked previously with Ford and BMW for most of his career. Ian Flood, - Sales Director joined the company in 2002 as Fleet Consultant. Ian comes from a background of customer services and business development. Some might say we have friends as customers and Ian might say we have friendly customers.
We also provide quite a broad range of marque. Since we supply on a country-wide basis, vehicles are sourced locally when possible. Affinity has played an important role in maintaining our client and supplier relationships. When we speak of suppliers, we refer to those where we source our new vehicles and organisations country wide, who service and maintain our fleet and last but not least the banks who fund our operation. The statistical reduction in our commitments with the banks over the past three years bares testimony to our efforts. At Haines Fleet we pride ourselves on our ability to offer customers a competitive rate on a car-by-car basis. We recognise that “our last order must always represent our best value” and possibly be the first business of many. As an independent supplier we have not acted as tied agent to any particular financial institution. With the changing times we are happy that this has proven to be operationally beneficial. Being a medium and privately owned company allows for greater dexterity in our sense of direction. Working closely with the banks with honouring our commitments on residual values over recent times has put our best efforts to the test. We are thankful with the statistical results in our favour against market difficulties. Market Trends Ex-Lease Vehicles The sale of ex lease cars with full service pedigree history has opened up new opportunities in recent times thus providing exceptional value for our customers. This has reduced the necessity to auction large amounts of lease cars which was customary in the past. Formally it was customary to trade or auction on a large amount of ex lease cars. In seeking new business opportunities, we engage in fact-finding research resulting in optimum cost effectiveness for our clients. Each quotation is tailor-made for the client’s specific need. We recognize that the infrastructure road developments across the country will no doubt improve the quality of our ex lease cars going forward. See attached article.

18Th February 2010 Eugene Haines was the Managing Director of our Leasing Company-Joe Duffy Leasing Ltd. from 1994 to 2004 when his bought out his other shareholders.
